Datamining from the Battlefield 6 beta has revealed a number of interesting additions to the game, including weapons that look ripped straight out of Halo.
The Battlefield series has been to the future and the past, but Dice has tried to keep things grounded in real history aside from 2042 and 2142.
So, fans of the series were surprised to see some ridiculously large weapons in the datamining for BF6’s beta, giving players some heavy firepower and a level of destruction unmatched in the series.
Alongside a handheld, two-barreled minigun is an actual shoulder-mounted railgun that delivers a massive metal spike exactly where it needs to go very quickly.
Battlefield 6 datamining reveals super weapons
It’s worth mentioning that datamining shows in-development content that may never make it to the full release. Sometimes, content gets cut. That said, Battlefield 6 datamining so far has been reliable, whether it be from the public beta or the Alpha Labs, in terms of what’s ended up in the final game.
While these weapons aren’t fully textured yet, the models themselves are built. It’s hard not to let the imagination wander as to what these weapons will look like when they fire, as they’re far beyond anything we’ve seen yet.
The model up top is the rail cannon. It looks more like a rocket launcher from Halo than anything else, and it even has a bipod that could be used to steady its fire. The actual projectile can be seen above the cannon itself, a metal stake that looks to be built for penetrating armor.

There was a railgun in Battlefield 4, but it wasn’t nearly as large as this one. It’s not even a comparison.
The minigun below it has a massive ammo drum and belt that feeds into the top of the weapon, putting it head and shoulders above the other LMGs we’ve seen so far in terms of ammo capacity.
There’s a great deal of speculation as to how these weapons will be implemented. There’s a chance they don’t make it into traditional class loadouts and are instead weapons that are picked up off the ground.
A Battle Royale mode is essentially confirmed at this point, so adding some super weapons to the map would make sense if they were put in a point of interest.
