Sam Smith is a Senior Writer on Dexerto's UK team, specializing in Gaming. He is an NCTJ accredited journalist and graduate. Sam is also our resident expert of Diablo, Elden Ring, and Soulslike games.

I mainly cover Diablo, Soulslikes, Horror, Triple-A adventure games, RPGs, and big new releases in gaming.

My Experience in Gaming

I have been writing about games professionally for the past seven years, and worked as a journalist for newpapers, magazines and online before that. I have worked for various platforms such as Valnet, DualShockers, GamingIntel, and more, before joining Dexerto, where I've now been for over three years, rising to the role of Senior Writer. I also have experience in PR and marketing and spent several years working as a food journalist. Outside of Dexerto, I also work in an editorial role for Wrestlesphere, a site I co-founded alongside the editor of Soundsphere Magazine. I have been playing console games for thirty years - my first console was a Commadore 64.
