Assassin’s Creed Shadows collabs with Lofi Girl in unexpected crossover and it’s amazing

Ubisoft has teamed up with the Lofi Girl YouTube channel to celebrate Assassin’s Creed Shadows‘ launch to deliver its most meditative collab yet.

Lofi Girl is no stranger to teaming up with popular games and streamers. The 24/7 music channel’s anime girl mascot has collaborated with Fortnite, Alien Isolation, and even inspired popular Twitch streamer Emiru. 

Well, following on from its creepy collab with Sega, Lofi Girl has turned her attention to Assassin’s Creed Shadows, delivering some stealthy shinobi beats. 

The collab was announced over on X, where the melodic YouTube channel announced that they had partnered with Ubisoft to create a relaxing playlist that blends Assassin’s Creed Shadows with “soothing” lo-fi beats.

“We’re thrilled to announce a unique collaboration between Lofi Girl and Ubisoft, offering lo-fi reimaginings of tracks from the Assassin’s Creed Shadows soundtrack,” wrote Lofi Girl on X. “This collection blends the stealthy allure of Assassin’s Creed Shadows with soothing lo-fi beats.”

The 47-minute-long video features Naoe, AC Shadow’s shinobi protagonist, as she peacefully paints a castle beneath a tree. There’s even a cute tanuki (raccoon), who can be found frolicking and sleeping nearby. 

This is a direct callback to Shadows’ Kano Painting side quests, which allow players to document iconic locations via inkbrush painting. Naoe can also collect a variety of animals throughout the game, with the tanuki being one of them. 

As with previous Lofi Girl collabs, Naoe and her surroundings have been given a beautiful hand-drawn art style, calling back to the channel’s Ghibli-inspired mascot.
