Last week’s chapter focused on the giants’ struggle to fight the dream monsters and save the children from being kidnapped. Though it seemed like an impossible task at the beginning, there’s finally a ray of hope as Scopper Gaban joins the fight and the Straw Hats decide to take care of the intruders.
Chapter 1144 also revealed a 3000-year-old science facility in Elbaf. While the rest of the country is being terrorized by the dream monsters, Luffy and Zoro have freed Loki in the Underworld.
Chapter 1145 delves deeper into Loki’s past and his connection with some of the most notorious pirates in history.

Manga PlusAfter a six-month-long hiatus, the One Piece anime is coming back this week. The manga celebrates this by featuring a special colored cover page illustrated by an anime staff, where the Straw Hats are watching the Egghead Arc episodes.
The normal cover page continues Yamato’s story in Wano and shows Ulti hugging Page One after Yamato saves them from Who’s Who.
One Piece Chapter 1145 starts with the Straw Hats and Colon (Colon Pirates) reuniting with Robin’s group. The focus then shifts to the Underworld, where Prince Loki shares the news of the God’s Knights’ arrival with Luffy and his group. However, he refuses to share anything about Luffy as he believes the pirate hasn’t truly earned it yet.
Loki’s flashback reveals he once met Xebec when he was a child and attempted to join his crew. But Xebec, whose face remained obscured, declined his request due to his age. So, Loki challenged him to a battle and lost miserably. The flashback also showed Whitebeard present during the encounter.
There is a parallel between Luffy and the giant prince. Just as Luffy admires Shanks and once wanted to be born in a different era so that he could voyage with Shanks, Loki also looked up to Xebec and wanted to grow up to join the Rocks Pirates.
After this, Luffy gives Loki some meat for energy. The prince recovers, but he’s still tired and injured. Elsewhere, Jinbei puts out the fire caused by Loki. One Piece Chapter 1145 ends with Gunko coming to the Svar Ship and facing the Colon Pirates.
